10th October

It has been ages since I last posted! But me and my boot have been on some great adventures, we even went out clubbing last weekend, that was interesting!

The foot has been getting better and I have been going to physio and been doing exercises to strengthen both of my muscles in my calf. It seems to be going well and not too painful at the moment but thats because the boot is still on!

My boot now stinks of cheese and my cat has attacked it and it looks disgusting and is full of skin, otherwise its fantastic.

I am no longer using crutches which is the best feeling in the world! I can actually carry things now, its amazing! only 8 days to go though and the boot will be gone but the crutches will most likely be back!

I can finally see a light at the end of this cheesey scaley tunnel.

6th September

Wahooooo the day has finally arrived where my cast comes off and things can go back to normal! Or so I thought...

The boot came after hours of waiting to reveal my cheesey, hairy, scaley leg....

I then went for an X-Ray by the East Surrey Ladyboy of Bangkok and waited another hour to see the consultant.

When I eventually saw the consultant they told me I had to wear a stupid boot for another 6 weeks! I was not happy....grrrr

9th August

Yay! Went to hospital again today and I was told that it was healing well and I get my cast off on 6th September! At least an end date is in site...well for the cast to be off anyway. I am dreading the physio! I went to visit my niece in the evening who loved my cast thought it was a new toy!

5th August

It really was about time something was done about my cast so my boyfriend and his little sister spent four hours on Friday night colouring it in with pens and nail varnish.

4th August

Nothing much happening today apart from having to venture down to the hotel for work and stupidly I wore shorts in the pouring rain so I had to embarrass myself going down there with bin bags tied round my cast!

2nd August

Today I had to go back to the fracture clinic and get another X-Ray to check everything is healing properly and luckily they said it was! I had to have another cast put on as the one from last week was getting too loose and t my surprise there was a massive kankle inside! I have a new plaster on now but have to go back again next week to get it checked to see if its doing its job! I cant actually believe this is my fifth cast on now...

27th July

Today was a busy day - attempted to go back to work which didn't last long. I then went to the Doctors who signed me off for a week so now I am working from home which I actually enjoy because I would be so bored watching daytime TV all day long!

In the evening we decided to go to Sainsburys as I was getting cabin fever and it was amazing they gave me this amazing contraption to go round the shop in!

Think I did a bit too much today as my foot was very painful in the evening :(

26th July

Today was the day I got my new cast. We got to East Surrey (after a Egg and Bacon McMuffin) and waited an hour in pain to be seen. I was then told to get the fibre glass cast put on and then come back for assessment in a week, then come back in a further 5 weeks to get it taken off :(

It was such a relief to have the cast changed but still thinking about having the cast on for 6 weeks really is not good! My Sister and my little niece Amber came round with my Mum in the afternoon to keep my entertained.

25th July

Today didn't start too well when I woke up with blue toes! Had to go to the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead where a nice nurse changed my cast as the people at East Surrey had done it wrong. Apparently my foot was pointing downwards like a ballerina where it should be at a 90 degree angle.

Spent the day moping on the sofa after this and experienced having a bath with a cast on - not easy at all!

24th July

I woke up to what felt like a ton of bricks attached to my foot and excruciating pain (and a hangover). I actually thought that it was all a horrible dream but no, it was real. I really just spent the day moping around feeling sorry for myself and trying to get used to the crutches. I always thought crutches were cool but I was really really mistaken.

As my cast was temporary and made from plaster of paris it was so heavy. Thankfully I had an appointment for the 26th to get a new cast so I didn't have long to wait to get it changed. I was waited on all day by my mum and dad as my boyfriend had just been to the hospital to get his knee looked at as he had ripped all the tendons, we really were a state. I then had my Uncle and my Gran come to visit and bought us some treats which was good.

In the afternoon I really did not feel good at all and then found out that I cannot take co-codamol which was not a pleasant experience, but the evening got better when we had steak for dinner :)

23rd July

Well I had been looking forward to this day in a long time as it was one of my good friends weddings. Me and my friend Hayley went to Copthorne Church to Vicky and Chris' wedding which was awesome then off to the Felbridge for the wedding breakfast and the reception. It was such a nice day, me and Hayley were on the wine and couldn't actually wait to get dancing as we have some amazing moves. Anyway the music started, first dance was really nice next thing I know I am dragging Hayley to the dance floor so we can get are groove on. Then bam I fell down, apparently my legs spazzed out when I tried to get back up and then I was fireman carried out by a friends boyfriend and then passed out in a chair. Next thing I know is that I am being carried into an ambulance. At this time the only thing I was really concerned about was my phone as it wasn't in my bag, I guess the alcohol consumed had numbed the pain a bit. The ambulance was taking me to Redhill hospital were to my amazement I saw my Mum and Dad, I had no idea they had been told I was here and then my boyfriend followed.

At this point ankle was pretty swollen as you can see in the picture above.

I then apparently had an X-Ray (don't really remember this being done at all) and then was told my ankle was broken in two places. I then had to wait around for 3 hours for another X-Ray and then the cast was put on. The woman who did it was really evil and was shoving it around so painfully. Eventually when they had finished (and I had stopped shouting at them) they told me it had been done wrong and would need to be done again! I was really not happy at all so she said she would just cut off the top so I turned around and had to lay on my stomach when she cut off the whole thing! and did it again and it hurt even more than the first time. I then had to wait what seemed like forever to be told I could go home. They showed me the X-Ray which you can see below. I was then taken back home, thankfully we had just moved and were in a downstairs flat and made it to bed for what was possible the worst nights sleep I had ever had.
